Tracy is the Head of Department for Secondary and Post-compulsory Education. Prior to joining the ÃÛÌÒÖ±²¥, Tracy worked at another University for sixteen years in a variety of roles mainly in the ITTE sector. Tracy’s experience in the world of Teacher Training includes partnerships, student experience and course leadership. Tracy has also worked extensively on the MA Education programme and successfully supervised many MA students with their final dissertations.

After graduating with a BEd in primary education with English from Newman College, Tracy was a primary school teacher for 13 years working across schools in the West Midlands. In 2010, Tracy attained her MA in Education, and she has recently completed her Professional Doctorate in Education. Tracy has presented her research at numerous national and international conferences. Tracy has extensive experience as an external examiner. Tracy is a trained Ofsted inspector for ITT and is currently vice-chair of the UCET Secondary forum. Tracy is also an active school governor and is Chair of Governors at an outstanding primary school in Sandwell. She also sits on the GovernSandwell executive committee.
