Reuben has worked as a freelance editor for over 10 years producing work for cinema, TV, web and mobile content, and live theatre/dance performance. His most recent project as editor was the feature film . He has always had an interest in experimenting with form, content and technology.

Reuben was a Managing Director of Gorilla Cinema for five years. Work, here, included production, sound recording, management of community arts projects, training and the design and management of a ground-breaking mobile solar-powered cinema.

Alongside his production work, Reuben has had a longstanding involvement in teaching in HE. Before joining Worcester he was an Associate Lecturer at Sheffield Hallam University and wrote an undergraduate course for the Open College of the Arts. He also worked as an 'Enterprise Teaching Facilitator' at Sheffield Hallam, wrote and delivered an accredited course at Sheffield Independent Film & Television and worked with Sheffield Arts Education developing curriculum design for schools across the city.

Reuben's research interests include pedagogy, moving image editing and post-production, documentary production, micro exhibition and media production cultures.

Live project

Editor of projections incorporating digital choreography using motion capture technology. Accompanied by City of Patras String Orchestra, Mikael Delta, Tania Tsanaklidou

 Corner Shops

Museum exhibit, Weston Park Museum

Director/Editor. The film illustrates the role that local shops play in their community and features many well known Burngreave shop keepers and customers. It presents a lively picture of the area, showing how the ethnic diversity of local shops really helps keep the neighbourhood alive.

DVD/VHS and numerous film festivals including Barcelona International Television Festival (shortlisted for UNICEF prize)

Thirty min documentary initiated as a widening participation project commissioned by Sheffield Hallam University and intended for limited distribution through the school involved and the LEA. The film has been translated into three languages including Euskera for distribution in schools in the Basque Country.

 'Bluevend', Edinburgh Film Festival and Reisefest, Vienna

Writer/Producer. Part of the Pocket Shorts scheme funded by NESTA, this was an experimental interactive product for distribution by mobile phone.

 Produced for MTV Europe as part of the scheme 'ejay of the week on MTV', commissioned by Addiction Ltd, London.

 StarABlue

Broadcast MTV Europe (June 2001); Mediterra Festival Athens, Sofia, Belgrade, Maribor, Frankfurt (Sept-Oct 2002)

Editor. Combining motion capture footage with animation, analogue footage and digital image manipulation to produce a retro-looking image. This production explored innovative techniques in digital photography as part of a PhD research project.

Editor. An interactive dance projection that combined the movement of dancers on screen with other footage and live performance.

Editor of this documentary about a women's building project in Nicaragua.
