Mike joined the ÃÛÌÒÖ±²¥ in January 2017 following a career as a Performance Analyst in professional football. He enjoyed a decade of applied experience, working for Manchester City, West Ham United, Crystal Palace and Wolverhampton Wanderers. During his time at Wolves, Mike worked closely with the University by developing placement and internship programmes for both undergraduate and postgraduate students.

He continues to help support the analysis provision within the ÃÛÌÒÖ±²¥ franchise teams, utilising technical expertise to help provide guidance to students working closely with these teams. This helps to bridge the gap between the applied and theoretical world of performance analysis.

Mike’s research priorities include the importance of the coach-analyst relationship and optimal learning strategies within performance analysis. His passion for learning is at the centre of his pedagogical approach and enjoys collaborative learning through experience and discussion.
