Harriet is a full-time PhD student in the School of Psychology at the ÃÛÌÒÖ±²¥.  Harriet’s PhD research concerns the character strengths of people working with domestic and/or sexual violence and the influence that these strengths have on their professional practice and personal wellbeing.

Her supervisors are Dr Holly Taylor-Dunn, Dr Sarah Davis and Dr Blaire Morgan.

Prior to commencing her PhD, Harriet worked in both the third sector and the public sector safeguarding victims of domestic abuse who were assessed as being at high risk of significant harm or homicide. This included employment as an Independent Domestic Violence Advisor at West Mercia Women’s Aid and most recently, as a Domestic Abuse Risk Officer at West Mercia Police. She is a qualified Domestic Abuse Prevention Advocate and is listed on the Women’s Aid register of practitioners.
