David joined the University in 2012 on an internship following his graduation from the Sports Therapy programme at Worcester. Since then, David has enjoyed several roles at the University including delivering exercise rehabilitation programmes and classes to a variety of population groups, as a sessional lecturer in the Institute of Health, and supervising Sports Therapy students in massage and injury clinics. He soon realised that he had a passion for teaching and joined the Sports Therapy team, full time, as a lecturer at the start of 2016, taking on the role of Course Leader in 2023.

Externally David has worked as a head injury video reviewer in the Women’s Rugby Premiership for Worcester Warriors, and as a comprehensive concussion assessor through World Rugby.

Previously, David has also worked with the Worcester Wolves Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams, England Basketball, Team GB Wheelchair Basketball, Severn Stars Netball Pathway, and within semi-professional football.

David has an interest in neurological conditions which led to him studying an MSc in Exercise Rehabilitation, specifically focussing on neurological populations. As a result of this David has set up and led exercise rehabilitation classes for a variety of neurological conditions, providing placement opportunities for Sports Therapy and Physiotherapy students.

David's areas of interest are trauma management, concussion, and sports injury and rehabilitation through exercise (specifically within musculoskeletal and neurological populations).
