These stellar results across such a broad base delighted Professor David Green CBE, the University’s Vice Chancellor and Chief Executive who said: “Thanks to excellent work by staff and students across the whole university, Worcester has earned a terrific reputation as one of the best universities for students in the UK. Our graduates are consistently ranked in the top 10 for sustained employment, while our student support wins accolade after accolade. Worcester has also been rated one of the top universities for social mobility as well as one of the very best to reflect society as a whole.”
Professor Green continued: “Our work to include students with an impairment has attracted national and international attention and it is very good to see our Students’ Union being so highly valued.”
Much of the award winning work at the University which has been recognised in these latest WhatUni awards is led by Pro Vice Chancellor Ross Renton who said: “This is a wonderful testament to the Worcester community which really comes together to help our international students to feel welcome right from the very moment they arrive.
“We strive to ensure we provide the best possible experience for our students, whether that is through our drive towards academic excellence, accessible facilities, greater provision to address mental health and wellbeing, or creating a community of tolerance and inclusion for all.”
The Awards were held virtually on Wednesday, July 8.
Meg Price, President of Worcester Students’ Union, said: “As a Students’ Union (SU), we work closely with the University to ensure that students are valued and supported throughout their time at Worcester, and that they have access to a range of opportunities that enrich their experience. It is great to see students giving the University such positive feedback again this year. We are also really pleased to be ranked 13th in the country for SUs. Our aim is to continuously develop what we do for every one of our members, and how we represent them as part of #TeamWorc.”
