The excellent sporting facilities available at the ÃÛÌÒÖ±²¥ St Johns Campus include a sports centre with a six-court sports hall, gymnasium and 2 full sized and FA accredited 3G pitches.

The St John's Sports Centre is open daily from 7am-10pm (these times booking dependant and subject to change).

The Riverside Centre is also open from 7am-10pm Monday - Friday and 9am-3pm on Saturdays and  Sundays.

Sports hall

Our international standard sports hall has a sprung wooden floor and has enough space to house 6 badminton courts, 2 basketball or netball training courts and 4 indoor cricket lanes. The space can be divided into 4 areas to accommodate different groups or to split academic activities.

The hall is equipped to hold large events for a range of different sports, and seating for 500 spectators.

Gymnasium

 

A large gymnasium/studio space utilised by academics across schools such as Sport, Education and Arts.

The space has wall mounted climbing bars and ropes used for teacher training and gymnastic themed sports modules. The space is also well utilised by student sport for training and external community groups ranging from our student Cheerleading club to external Parkour sessions.

Fully flood lit high-quality all-weather rubber crumb surface able to withstand cold weather up to -4°C.

The pitch can be used for 11-a-side fixtures or can be divided into, halves or thirds and be used for small-sided training sessions or fixtures. The pitch is well utilised by academics, student sport and local community football clubs and teams.

Where we are

We are located next to the Edward Elgar Building on St John's Campus (WR2 6AJ). When you arrive head to Main Reception and ask for directions.

For those with limited mobility there is dedicated disabled parking on site and easy access is provided by a lift adjacent to the main entrance.
